After waiting an hour at the fed's office, I finally did it. The Fed said to me, "you know some people hyphenate". I said, "Nah, don't wanna hyphenate". Then the fed said, "you could just go for it and remove your maiden name" and I thought, "easy for him to say he probably has a lame last name and his wife probably took it!" Then he said, "how bout we give you two middle names?" I replied that that is what I was thinking. He looked like he agreed and then as I was leaving said- I wouldn't want to give up Buchanan either, that is a great last name.
