Hey dear friends and neighbors. It is finally time to sing little Peapods praises! He is doing a one armed, rolling, push with a knee, lurch forward army crawl! He did it for the first time yesterday. Once for me, once for Jared. I thought I would wait until he did a duplicate today before I posted the freaking awesome news. HE CAN MOVE! ;-) Perhaps by the time he is 2 he'll be able to walk.
Ten
1. Peapods super cool inchworm lunge
2. Black bean salsa soup (can be made in 20 minutes with 5 ingredients)
3. Playing a hymn on the piano without messing up
4. Having the young women come over for a service scavenger hunt and reading bedtime stories for the kids
5. Getting all the laundry done
6. Leftovers for dinner (minimal dishes)
7. Rebs haircut
8. Homemade Thai food from a neighbor!
9. Going out to lunch with a neighbor!
10. Piano lessons for the kids (thanks Karli!)
Black Bean Salsa Soup
3 cans black beans (rinsed and drained)
2 1/2 c. chicken or vegetable broth
1 1/2 cup chunky salsa
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
toppings ideas: light sour cream, tortilla chips, cheese, green onions, chopped tomatoes
Blend first 4 ingredients in a blender or food processor and then transfer to a medium-large stockpot and heat on stove. Ladle into bowls and add desired toppings. It is so quick and easy to make and virtually fat free! (unless you really dump the toppings on!)

The soup was awesome. Perfect for a 5 de Mayo lunch!
I can't wait to see the baby move! Glad the young women could help a little bit. Loved Rebs haircut as well.
I love that soup, too. If you add sofrito, you won't need the cumin or salsa (but I do all three anyway).
I have a feeling you were speaking Spanglish all day yesterday.
Moving before his first birthday! Way to go!! :D
