We have been filling up every spare moment getting ready for Jared's birthday (which requires massive amounts of preparation), making inordinate amounts of cookies for "Cookie Casa" the kids cookie stand through which they are raising gobs of money for who knows what, playing ball with Pedro, going on lots of hikes, attending the splash park in Highland whenever we can squeeze it in, growing a garden, making homemade strawberry ice cream in my cuisinart ice cream maker (thank you Erin!), visiting the family in Arizona, sewing with my sewing maching (thank you Stephanie), breaking into homes that are under construction, working on building my salad repertoire, going for morning runs, reading the first three Harry Potter books with the kids, coloring, going to Thanksgiving Point and going for drives in the canyon, and watching Prison Break with Jared. Blogging has taken the seat in the way back that faces out of the back of an old station wagon back seat. Macey lost a tooth this morning and as she was getting ready to pull it out, she asked me if she could say a prayer to Heavenly Father to make it not hurt when she yanked it. I said, "that sounds like a great idea!" I was very impressed because that isn't something I would have thought of. She said a prayer and about three minutes later she gave it a little tug and said, "that totally didn't even hurt, I'm so glad I said a prayer!"
Thanks for pulling through on this one, God!Here are some photos of the cookies we have been making at Cookie Casa:
mini m&m cookies
famous chocolate chip
red velvet cookies with cream cheese frostingI haven't had time to unload my memory card from my camera from some of out other hikes yet but here are the kids last Saturday at Cascade Springs:

A sweets shop, Dippidee (almost as good as Cookie Casa), was throwing a little princess party. Every girl who dressed in princess garb got a free cookie, face paint and some other fun activities. One advantage of being Pedro is he gets to go to this stuff and get the free cookie without dressing up. Lucky!

We are Allgood. Knock on wood.
